Project DALISAI formally concluded its 2026 Internship Program through a Final Presentation and Culmination Day held on July 10, 2026, at the University of the Philippines Mindanao. The activity highlighted the outputs, skills, and experiences gained by the interns after completing four weeks, or 160 service hours, of hands-on work from June 15 to July 10.

Throughout the program, interns assigned to the design, development, and analytics teams contributed to the ongoing development of the DALISAI Dashboard, mobile applications, website, digital interfaces, and data analytics systems.

The internship was conducted under the guidance of Project Leader A/Prof. Armacheska R. Mesa-Satina, with mentors Jenno Fred Villarino, Harold Clyde Valiente, and Daniel John Cahatian, and administrative coordinator Brenda Fuentes.

A Cross-Team Showcase

The culmination activity opened with a retrospective look back at the internship as a whole. Interns walked through key moments from the past four weeks—from early workshops and collaborative work sessions to the personal milestones and creative keepsakes the cohort produced along the way—before moving into each team's formal presentation.

Each team then presented the outputs it had completed throughout the internship. The design team presented its portfolio of user interface and user experience work, including Figma concepts, prototypes, design iterations, and visual materials developed for the project.

The two development teams conducted live demonstrations and screen-recorded walkthroughs of the features, systems, and technical architecture they had implemented. Their presentations explained the purpose of each feature, the development process, the challenges encountered, and the solutions applied.

The analytics team presented its dashboard outputs, data visualizations, findings, and recommendations based on the datasets and systems it had worked with during the program. This included a review of the modules it had tested, such as the dashboard overview and harvest records components.

The presentations allowed the interns to demonstrate not only their technical outputs but also their ability to communicate their work, collaborate across teams, respond to feedback, and apply their academic knowledge in an actual research and development environment.

Workshops and Practical Learning

Aside from their assigned project outputs, the interns participated in workshops and learning activities involving CAIR FabLab tools, agentic coding, Arduino systems, software development, design, and data analytics.

Regular progress meetings, consultations, and team check-ins were also conducted to monitor their work, address technical concerns, and provide guidance throughout the internship period.

Outstanding contributions were recognized through special awards presented as part of the internship's culminating activities.

Recognizing the Interns' Contributions

The Project DALISAI team expressed its appreciation to the interns for their dedication, creativity, teamwork, and willingness to learn. The interns also contributed to the preparation of their presentations and the organization of the culminating activities.

Their work across the DALISAI Dashboard, mobile applications, website, designs, analytics outputs, and codebase will remain part of the project's continuing development.

The program concluded with a shared lunch and an intern-organized afternoon celebration, providing the participants and mentors with an opportunity to reflect on their experiences and celebrate the completion of the internship.
