DALISAI Project Achieves Academic Recognition at Regional and International Conferences

Following our participation in AIFest 2024, the DALISAI and AIDurian project has reached two significant academic milestones, expanding our research presence across both local and international platforms.
Regional Recognition
Our study "Durian FARMS: Farm Activity and Resource Management System — A Mobile Application Enhancing Durian Farming Efficiency through Imaging and Geotagging Strategies" earned 3rd Place in the Poster Category at the Regional Symposium on Research Development and Extension held in Mati City, Davao Oriental.
The study was presented by Mr. Jenno Fred Villarino (Project Technical Specialist) and authored by Mr. Daniel John Cahatian (Project Technical Specialist). This recognition highlights our practical approach to improving farming operations through mobile technology.
International Conference Presentation
The project also expanded its reach internationally. Dr. Emma Bayogan (Project Staff) and Ms. Michael Angela Urquiola (Project Technical Specialist) represented DALISAI at the 4th China-ASEAN Horticultural Product Postharvest Conference in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
They presented "Design and Development of an Acoustic-Based Mobile Application for Non-Destructive Postharvest Durian Ripeness Assessment," showcasing our innovation in postharvest quality management.
Growing Impact
These academic achievements reflect our team's commitment to rigorous research and innovation. As we continue presenting at conferences locally and internationally, our work reaches more researchers, innovators, and industry partners who share our vision for a data-driven durian farming sector.
